Wreck Diving – 3 Days – different wrecks

padi dive center-private dive guide-wreck diving

Cyprus offers some really worth seeing wrecks at moderate depths without long boat rides. Therefore, our 3-day wreck diving programme is suitable for all levels.

We dive a different wreck with you every day, so there’s no chance of getting bored.

Best visibility, pleasant water temperatures round off the diving experience. And you can explore everything very calm, without a big dive group.

General info

You don’t have to do the 3 days in a row, just arrange your days with us. We will pick you up in the morning at your hotel (region Larnaca / Agia Napa – if you are staying outside this region, there might be an extra charge for the transfer, but of course we will tell you this beforehand), drive to the dive site and bring you back to the hotel.

We are happy to take your diving equipment back with us, rinse and dry it. You don’t have your own equipment? No problem. We will be happy to lend you everything you need, air and weights are included in the programme.

Your possible dive spots

Nemesis Wreck – The Nemesis was an ocean-going trawler that was sunk in December 2013 as an „artificial reef“ near the small fishing port of Pernera. The Nemesis was sunk so perfectly that it stands in a perfect upright position on the seabed, making it ideal for photos and videos. Hatches, doors and the engine room have been secured so that even diving inside is safe. Tuna, amberjack, bream and grouper are common here and turtles also visit the wreck regularly.

Liberty Wreck – The Liberty is a small Russian freighter with an overall length of 37 m and a width of 10 m and lies not far from the Nemesis. The Liberty was also sunk as an artificial wreck (back in 2009) to revive maritime life off Cyprus. In the area of both wrecks, shipping traffic, fishing etc. is prohibited, so that, as on the Nemesis, over the years the underwater world is slowly evolving back into a typical Mediterranean underwater world.

Elpida Wreck – a freighter sunk for divers at medium depth (max 35m). If you don’t want to dive down to the bottom, you can already experience the full wreck diving feeling at a depth of around 20m. The bridge, engine and cargo hold are excellently prepared so that you can dive in comfortably everywhere without losing sight of the daylight. With a bit of luck, you may encounter a shoal of barracudas and even turtles on the wreck.

Zenobia Wreck – this very large wreck is high on the wish list of many divers from all over the world. You can really experience everything here. Which areas you can dive is entirely up to you. What you want to see and what your dive training allows you to do. After the descent we will find the top of the wreck at about 17m depth and we can dive into the cafeteria with you if necessary. There are over 100 trucks on board and whether we dive in or not, you will spot some of them as some are on the open top deck. Schools of fish, turtles, groupers, barracuda and the occasional ray can also be seen here on the wreck.

HMS Cricket – This gunboat from the First World War survived both major wars. It last lay at anchor in Larnaca Bay, Cyprus, and was used by the British Air Force for target practice, but sank in 1947 due to bad weather and now lies upside down on the bottom at a depth of around 3om. There is a large sandy depression under the wreck, so divers swim through escape hatches into the hull and under the wreck. The ship harbours many groupers and is home to many other sea creatures. To dive here, however, you should already have some experience.
