In your PADI Underwater Naturalist course, you’ll get a better understanding about the local ecosystem and the differences between terrestrial and aquatic worlds. See new things, even in the most familiar dive sites.

If you’re interested in underwater life, then the PADI Underwater Naturalist Specialty course is for you.

• In your PADI Underwater Naturalist programme, you will learn about symbioses, the partnerships between underwater plants and animals. This helps you to better understand underwater habitats. You will no longer see „the fish“, but different species that have their own special behaviours and strategies to survive in a complex, interactive ecosystem.
• During the course you will also learn a lot about the local waters, especially about their restoration.
• Marine life, how they interact and factual information to dispel false myths and misconceptions.
• The role of plants, food chains and the relationship between hunter and hunted underwater.
• Responsible treatment of underwater life

You will need a minimum a full day at the dive site to complete your course, you can read up on the background knowledge at your leisure in our e-learning portal.

You will need to bring a full diving kit, buoy, dive computer (or watch depth gauge) and compass. Any missing equipment can be hired from us for the duration of the course. Tanks and weights are included.
