Solo Diver – Self Reliant Diver

For many divers, it would sometimes be nice to be a Solo-Diver, means without a buddy.

There is nothing wrong with that, because solo diving is the solution, especially if you want to take pictures or shoot a video at leisure or if there is simply no suitable buddy on site.

But diving alone also means being able to solve all sorts of problems yourself ! .

To learn to glide safely and relaxed through the underwater world without a dive buddy, you should prepare yourself. How? You can learn this individually and purposefully with us in the PADI Self Reliant Diver Course or CMAS/IDA Solo Diving Course.

This are your 3 dives:

• Assessment dive with initial buoyancy and trim exercises
• 2nd dive with problem solving exercises
• 3rd dive of solo dive that you plan and perform completely by yourself

Maybe you would like to combine this course with the PADI or CMAS / IDA Tec Fundamental course? In this course we show you how to use a double tank and wing jacket, some fin kick techniques and back-up exercises with light and mask.

You will need two days at the dive site to complete your course, you can read up on the background knowledge at your leisure in our e-learning portal.

There are two options to book your Solo Diver course:

To participate in the course, you must be 18 years old, present the PADI AOWD or equivalent, have a diving medical certificate or fill out a current health questionnaire on site.

You will need to bring a full diving equipment, buoy, dive computer (or watch depth gauge) and compass. Any missing equipment can be hired from us for the duration of the course. Tanks and weights are included.

We will be happy to pick you up from your hotel free of charge if you are staying in the Agia Napa – Protaras – Paralimni region, or in Larnaca Destrict
(e.g. Oroklini – Pyla – Livadia – Larnaca City). Pick up is also possible for more distant routes, but we will then charge a small surcharge.
