Advanced Open Water Diver – your 2nd step

The PADI Advanced Open Water Diver course allows you to expand your knowledge and extend the depth limits of the OWD.

The Advanced Open Water Diver course is all about advancing your skills. You will learn many new diving skills to plan and conduct beautiful and relaxing dives with your buddies.

Your new skills will make diving much more than just underwater sightseeing.

In this Advanced Open Water Diver course we cover the advanced fundamentals of diving in five dives. Throughout the course you will receive personal access to our online e-learning portal and background knowledge whenever and wherever you need it. There is no additional written final exam. Of course, your instructor will review the most important information with you before you go out on the open water dives.

Your 5 dives will include navigation (using a compass) and deep diving (between 18 and 25m) as a „must“. The other 3 dives will be discussed with you. You can choose from these dives (specialty courses):

• Buoyancy in Perfection
• Group Leadership / Dive Leader
• Buoy Setting (Search & Recovery Course)
• Wreck Diving
• Nitrox Diver
• Underwater Naturalist
• Underwater Photography

These dives are the introductory dives to the PADI specialty courses. For example, you can book your 5 chosen speciality courses and have the Advanced Open Water Diver „in your pocket“ at the same time. The modular training system makes this possible.

To take part in this course you must be at least 15 years of age (minors need a parental consent form), have a Diving Fitness Certificate or Health Questionnaire with no restrictions, a valid and recognised OWD level certification and your own diving equipment. Tank, weights, buoy and compass are included in the course. Missing equipment can be hired for a fee.

You will need a minimum of 2 days at the dive site to complete your course, you can read up on the background knowledge at your leisure in our e-learning portal.

We will be happy to pick you up from your hotel free of charge if you are staying in the Agia Napa – Protaras – Paralimni region, or in Larnaca Destrict
(e.g. Oroklini – Pyla – Livadia – Larnaca City). Pick up is also possible for more distant routes, but we will then charge a small surcharge.
