Elpida – Wreck Tour – 2 dives private guided

Finally diving on a wreck that is possible for almost every scuba diver.

The Elpida Wreck was a Greek container ship and the name means Hope in Greek. She is almost 70m in length and lies at a depth of 30 metres.

The top of the hold is at 20m and the bottom is 27m, with the general quarters and bridge at depths between 20m and 14m.

The tip of the masts are at 10m and the wreck is nice and flat on the seabed.

The Elpida Wreck

The Elpida wreck has a total length of about 70 metres ,a width of 10 metres and sits perfectly uprite on the seabed at 30 metres . As you descend onto the wreck the top of the mast is only 10 metres below the surface and the deck at 20 metres.

Marine life has begun to establish itself on the wreck, it is not uncommon to see shoals of Amberjacks circling the bridge on the hunt for their next meal. Grouper,Damsel fish and unfortunately lion fish are already at home at the Elpida wreck.

Elpida translates from Greek as Hope, which is very fitting as this latest wreck sunk and established as an artificial reef gives us the hope, that in the future more programs and measures can be introduced to make the Mediterranean sea around Cyprus flourish with marine life and encourage more divers to visit this beautiful island.

If you are three or four divers, the price is reduced to 179 Euro per diver.

Please note:
To participate in this program you must: min. Open Water diver, better AOWD Diver, 16 years old, fill out a health questionnaire or submit a medical statement. In the case of minors, the legal adults must sign and an accompanying person must be present on board.
